costs in advance
AR Health is required by law to give patients who have no insurance, self-pay, or are considered out-of-network an estimate of the amount they will be billed for non-emergency medical items or services. If you are eligible for an estimate, it will be provided as long as you schedule an appointment at least three days in advance. The estimate should include costs for items and services anticipated to be provided with the visit, such as medical tests, prescription drugs, and equipment. You are entitled to receive the estimate in writing at least one business day before your scheduled medical service or item.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your good faith estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your estimate and the bill.
Anyone with or without insurance may request a good faith estimate. Request a Cost Estimate.
