Our Story

We've heard the stories before...

A person living with HIV reported that their doctor examined them from across the room, refusing to touch them. A doctor denied HIV preventive medicine to a gay man because "that's the risk he takes for being gay." Different versions of the same stories from other people regarding other doctors. We've heard it before but don't want to hear it again.

AR Health is a nonprofit healthcare clinic for people living with HIV and members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Our physician, Dr. Haussmann, served on the AIDS Resource Board of Directors for over 20 years and has run our PrEP clinic since its inception. He is supported by a diverse, multidisciplinary staff at AIDS Resource with decades of experience. Care is provided in a private, accessible, welcoming environment. We envision a world where healthcare experiences are happy ones.
